• detailed experience in corporate structure, complex issue and project management, and is an expert in contract performance clauses and associated KPI negotiations;

• specialist knowledge in high-value drafting and negotiating for major undertakings (incl. facilities management, cleaning, camp services, operating infrastructure and mine services, selling coal, sharing and dealing with tenements, success fee deals with investment banks and others);

• deep experience advising on legal issues for clients, including acquisitions and farmouts of mining tenements, approvals, taxation contexts, land transactions, corporate resolutions, small scale fundraising, transfers and environmental issues; and

• granular advisory skill in advising on contract interpretation, exit strategies and managing claims.

Peter has a background spanning top-tier, mid and boutique law firms and in-house roles for major mining, consumer, and facilities management brands.  Peter has also negotiated against some of the largest companies in their markets including major international gold producers, contract miners, a manganese producer, major logistics companies, chemicals suppliers, software companies, public authorities, clothing manufacturers, drydock providers and major banks.
